PERSONAL BACKGROUND(DENNY CHOW)

Brought up in a racing family, Denny’s father was a jockey and racing advisor to several Hong Kong owners from the 60’s to the 90’s. His brother is a senior racing programme host on television and radio and is a major newspaper columnist in Hong Kong.

Denny has spent his life acquiring a sound knowledge of the many facets of international racing such as major races, worldwide results and news, breeding industry and pedigrees, key horse sales, rules of racing, the sport’s history, racing figures, stable management etc.

His experience includes Pupil Assistant and Racing Administrator to five-time French Champion Jockey and renowned racehorse conditioner Cash Asmussen.
80's
In the mid-1980s he gained valuable experience as an overseas journalist and breeding specialist for two Hong Kong racing publications.
90's
Since the 1990s he has acted as private racing advisor and buying agent for several overseas and Hong Kong owners.
Feb 1982
Co-Host of the weekly Montreal English radio racing show Post Time in the late 1990’s, he was then an English and Chinese racing and breeding columnist for the Hong Kong Standard and Sing Tao newspaper at the turn-of-the-century.

He furthered his vast industry experience as the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s International Racing and Sale Officer responsible for overseas horse sale information. He was the international sale website administrator, HKJC International Sale website administrator, production manager of Sale catalogue, the liaison with the Sale’s potential buyers and key hospitality host to overseas racing guests among other duties.
2014 Septemeber - DBC radio
He has been the senior expert overseas simulcast races radio broadcaster for DBC radio (Digital Broadcasting Corporation) Hong Kong since September 2014.
